“The Worship” is now released!
As the title says, “The Worship” is upon you finally. This is the first part of the coming trilogy of demos from the world’s best death metal band, Torture Division. We did it, we fucken got it out at last! And by doing this we once again re-write the map of death metal. And we also stay very modest while we’re at it.
Before you download, listen and propose to us – here are some choice words from the ones in charge of this beautiful piece of music, but we’ll let Mr. Swanö (you know, the guy who’s giving us the productions you all love) fire away first:
Dan: I’d like to thank Torture Division for letting me work on their stuff. It’s always a pleasure and a privilege to work with one of the best death metal bands on the planet.
He said “one of the best” but actually meant “THE best”. And now, over to us. Jörgen Sandström’s got something to say:
J: Finally you get to hear the new Torture Division material. It took us awhile but here it is! Enjoy!
I wanna thank a few people. First and foremost Dan Swanö for making my vocals and bass sound incredibly great. Second, Tobbe Sillman who recorded my vocals… Not exactly hard work since it took only 2 hours to record 6 songs because I rule, but he still deserve my thanx cause he rules too. Then at last my two partners in crime: K and Golden, you’re most welcome to play in this band
whenever you want. Congratulations to you two who get to play with such a stud and God as me. Your pleasure!
Now to all of you wonderful people out there who enjoy Torture Division: Please listen as loud as you possibly can! Torture your neighbors with superhuman-played-death metal. And share the songs, links, words to all your friends. Share it on your Facebook walls and blogs and whatever else you pest your surroundings with. Make CD´s to sell at clubs and buy beer for the money! Pass the CD to your local concert promoter and tell them to contact us at torturedivision@gmail.com. Pass the songs to fanzines, magazines, radio stations, aliens and even snakes. Snakes! Do whatever you possibly can to spread the material. We know that you already do all this but do it again and again and again! They deserve it.

Over to some choice words from your fave guitarist in the whole wide world, Lord K Philipson:
K: I also wanna thank a few people before we move on. First off, eternal kicks in the nuts to Dan Swanö who’s once again fired up a killer production that makes our music justice. You are the fucken man, Dan. And even though we know that you sometimes wish you’d charge us money for the work you do for us every fucken time since you curse in our direction for fucking up some small shit that you have to spend many hours on fixing, well… you just won’t. We’re not sure why, but it must be becoz we truly are awesome (along with the death threats perhaps). We collectively salute you, good sire. Thank you. So goddamn much.
I also wanna thank myself for writing absolutely amazing death metal all by myself without any assistance or help whatsoever from J and T. And for playing guitar like a god, I need to thank me for that as well. I’m not too impressed with the performances that J and Tobben’s delivered, but those guitars, people. There just ain’t anyone like me. Those half-assed vocals and old fart-blasts isn’t making anyone particularly happy, but my guitars saves everything at the end of the day. Jörgen and Tobben: I am very happy that you guys get to play with me. Congratulations to you both.
After doing some other things (like gigs and a TPH album and so on) for 18 months or so we are now back in full fucken killer mode. You all know we have plenty of stuff for you this year. These 3 tracks are the first out of 12 recorded ones. Yes – 12. One of them is a cover. And if you’re a fan of the band we have covered (it could be anything from Cannibal Corpse to Six Feet Under and everything in between), you will prefer our version in a heartbeat, becoz simply – this is the best cover any band have ever recorded of any band at any time. You’ll see.
You can thank us for giving you the best death metal you have ever experienced by donating a dollar or 5 to us. You can find the instructions here at the site. Look for it. It’s your donations and the fact that you buy merch from us that makes it possible to work our thing like we do it. Show your appreciation by donating a month’s salary (or slightly less, let’s say… 5 dollars?) to us. Coz, you know… it would suck if you didn’t have new Torture Division masterpieces to listen to for years and years to come.
And last off, the master of the bläster (that is not a typo), Tobias Gustafsson:
T: Finally, FINALLY we get this first piece out of three new demos out to all you who appreciate death metal at its best! It’s been way too long since we released new music, so we understand that you are all dying to hear our new stuff! I hope you will like it as much as we do in the band. We all agree that this might be the best batch of songs we’ve ever done in the band’s 6-year old existence. You will think so too. And I’m quite sure that this is my best performance for TD to date. I’m very happy with it. Which means that both K and J are very happy with it too. I mean, they are happy only to play in the same band as me! And they should be. I totally understand them. K and J, I’m so happy for you. Congratulations!
I first and foremost wanna thank the almighty Dan Swanö for putting up with our shit year after year. Without your help and support we would have been nothing. I salute you! And I promise to record the drums exactly according to your instructions next time. And the next, and the next… Then we have Mats “jävlit gôtt kaffe” Lindström of Big Balls Productions Studio who always does a killer job with recording my drums in his killer studio. Any band in the area should check it out! Thanks to everyone who actually donated a few bucks to Torture Division and/or bought our shirts to help us fund the recordings. We give you free music, you buy our shirts so we can record more music. It’s like a circle. Yes. No. Lemon. Yes.

Wanna hear the new demo, huh?!
You’ll have to wait a little longer still.
Sorry about that, we couldn’t help ourselves. Anyways, we just wanna inform you loyal supporters of the world’s best death metal band that everything is out of our hands now as for when you will get to hear this blasterpiece (genius, yeah? Fuck do you mean “that’s an old joke”?) entitled “The Worship”. Why? Becoz everything is now in Dan Swanö’s webmaster’s hands since we have once again decided to give you exclusive access to our first part of this trilogy on www.unisound.se. And that guy might be busy with this thing called “life” you know. And it’s not like we pay him (or anyone) anything.
We’re that awesome/bastardous.
So, this could happen in a matter of hours. It could happen tomorrow. And it could also happen next week. We don’t know.
But you have waited for 18 months or so, what’s another few days or whatever? Exactly.

Are you ready for “The Worship”?
Mr. Swanö, the legend/Torture Division endorser himself, is currently putting down the final touches on our brand new demo, meaning you should be able to get this beautiful thing in your lives shortly. We know that Dan will fire up an insanely great sounding mix that will do the material justice, and more. This guy always makes us shine.
So, now you have the title for our new recording, as well as all the song titles (in previous posts)… All you need now is the cover and the actual music. Just hang in there – coz it’s not too far away from surfacing.

J checks in from the studio!
“J here. After a nice ride home on the iron horse I now have a glass of red to celebrate this evenings session. I first did the cover song, then went on to the 2nd song of the new demo and by then my voice was warmed up so to say and sounded like I normally do so I went on to record the 1st song for the demo and then I did the cover song once again as I thought the voice was sounding better than at the first take. Then I started with the 4th song of the day and I guess it sounded ok but my head was pounding like a head that is pounding really bad so I decided to try out tomorrow instead. Wise decision by someone who has been there a million times before, haha.. I still nailed three songs within an hour so I am happy with that result.
So why do I do that you might ask? Because I hate being in the studio?
Absolutely not! I just love the idea of going to the studio, well rehearsed from sitting in the car and repeating the song to a CD, and then nail a first take. A first take is the most honest and rawest piece of material you can work with..
I could probably re-do a few lines here and there to make them sound like the rest of the lines but I have done that for years and years so now I just say fuck it! Give me the microphone, set the levels and a decent sound in the headphones and go. I dont even have all guitar tracks, drum tracks, bass on separate files, K sent me a rough mix of the song and that is what I use, hahah.. Sometimes it is really hard to get the tempo cause I cant hear shit what they play but fuck it. If I cant do it in headphones then how the fuck can I do it live I usually think.. better get used to it, right?
