Ravishing rampage rehearsal.
Here’s a clip of K and Tobben rehearsing “Ravishing rampage sluts” some week ago. J wasn’t there becoz he was busy burning churches and spreading the word of Satan. It’s nothing spectacular (of course it is, it’s fucken Torture Division), but we thought some of you might appreciate a look into the glamorous life of 2 death metal stars. Any eventual playing mistakes are rehearsed as well, to spice things up a little.

New demo being mixed!
Superhero Dan Swanö now got the latest Torture Division recording and is currently working his magic with it. As we have told you before there’s something special surrounding this demo, but we still can’t say anything more about it right now. Just hang in there, you will get it for free as always when it comes to us. That’s our way of working things, you know. We are very happy with how these 3 tunes turned out and from the sound of it, so is Dan. We are fucken thankful to have this guy endorse us with these mixes. He truly makes us shine (have in mind we are already glowing like the sun even before we hand him the material). So, in case you didn’t understand it just yet – get him to mix your stuff. You can reach him over at www.unisound.se. As we told you earlier, we recorded 5 songs for this session. Only 3 ends up on the demo. What about the other 2? You will see…
Saturday we invade Gotland for the next gig. Hope to see you there. We will crush.

New demo completed!
That went fast. J just got out of the studio where he recorded his vocals – the last piece of the puzzle. He has this to say about the session:
” – Just got back home from the A.R.T studio where I have been recording my vocals with my friend Jonas Ã…hlén. We did five songs in 5 hours including editing, coffee break and walking to the gas station to buy milk and beer! It is the smoothest fucking thing recording with Jonas. Not only is he a master editor which while I record my vocals, when I am done he already edited half the song on the fly, hahaha.. Seriously, he is a beast. Normally I just tell him to put the fucking thing on record and I sing my way all the way to the end. If I fuck up along the way I just do it again. Superfast and supertrve! And let me just tell you that this is a trve fucking monster of a demo recording, it is furious!”
This means it’s soon time for Mr Swanö to deal with the mix and make us shine as always, as soon as he has the time in between his regular mixing jobs. Coz you know how it works: Dan is endorsing Torture Division with these mixes, he has done so since day 1 and we can’t thank him enough for it. A true master of his craft, Mr Swanö. There are some special plans for this demo, some stuff that we still can’t reveal just yet. As soon as we can, you will know about it at this site or over at our forums. Just hang in there. Stay tuned for a demo of the the highest caliber. We are insanely proud of what we have achieved on this one as well, as we always are. The world’s best death metal just got a little better.

Update demo 7!
As you learned a few days ago, Tobben nailed his drums for this upcoming slab of brutality – the first part of trilogy 3. Well, if you aren’t a regular the forums you have missed out on the fact that we have now finished all the guitars and bass as well. J is doing vocals this weekend, as it looks. After that it will all be delivered to Mr. Swanö for the killer mix. We have been a little secretive about this demo, and for good reason. We can’t reveal anything just yet, but stay tuned – you will eventually get your filthy hands on this absolute blasterpiece. After listening to the songs at this early stage we can tell you that it’s, yes – you guessed it, the world’s best death metal.

And we are rolling!
Now, stuff is happening. Here’s a studio report from Tobben‘s recording sessions for demo number 7 (part 1 of trilogy 3), directly from The Golden One himself:
“Well, I dropped off my drums at Big Balls Productions last Sunday evening and on Monday, me and Mats put up the drum kit and mic’ed everything. But while soundchecking we faced major problems with the tom triggers.
Now, many may ask why the hell I trigger my toms, as I normally hate and despise that – especially toms (well, the snare is even worse)! But since we’ve found or Torture way of working our recordings together with Swanö’s way of working by now, we now know that this is what suits us best, and Swanö makes the drums sound so fucken awesome anyway, so in this case; fuck pride. So after a few hours of experimenting with the triggers and scratching our heads, we got it all to work fine. But at that late hour we called it a day. Tuesday was planned for other commitments so we began recording yesterday, Wednesday, instead.
After a quick soundcheck and importing my back tracks and stuff into the recording software, we began recording straight away. The first song was done in a few takes and a few punch-ins – which was the case with all the other songs too. Except for one song that I nailed on the first take. It’s always so nice to work with Mats at Big Balls. He has a relaxed attitude towards recording while still being very focused on his work. That relaxed atmosphere is always present in the studio when we’re working together and I naturally believe that it affects my performance in a positive way. It sure did on the recording of the new The Project Hate album at least!
If I don’t count in the hours we spent drinking coffee and talking bullshit last night, it took us about three hours to record those five (!) songs. And I’m very happy with my performance this time around. Well, I usually never leave the studio until I am, but this time it all went so smooth and instantly felt so good when I played. Can’t wait to hear your reactions on the new songs. I think these songs are the best we’ve done in quite a while.
Unfortunately I don’t have any video clips from the recording. I honestly forgot to ask Mats to film me while playing. Everything went so fast! But here are some pictures for you to drool over:”

The gig at Jörgen‘s native island Gotland is approaching fast, as we sure are ready for it. A few days ago their local news paper decided to give us some attention and ended up interviewing J, which can be seen here in a big feature (only in Swedish though). Apart from that we still got some merch and CD’s for sale, you know. We’d appreciate if you help us to get rid of them so we can get some money for new merch and new demos, as always.
