Guitars to be recorded in a bit!
The drum files have landed at The Dungeon (that would be my home studio). Now all I need is to work them and import the shit so I can do the guitars asap. Won’t happen this week though becoz I’m busy with other things, but hopefully I’ll be able to put down some guitars next week. Looking forward to hear all of Tobben‘s amazing drumming and play along, to say the least, haha… Stay tuned either here or over at our forums where we will keep you informed on the progress of this first demo in trilogy number 2. This will be mighty fucken fun.

Report from Tobben!
“Well well…
Honestly, it started out great this morning with setting up the gear with Mats of Senseless Recordings in the Vomitory rehearsal room. After some miking up my drumkit and a few cups of coffee we were set to go. I think we began recording around 11:30 and the first song out was “Eld och PlÃ¥gor” which is by far the slowest one on the new demo. So it was pretty easy for me to nail that one. A couple of takes with some shitty fills in the middle later, we had the final version. All great so far!
The second song was “Heretics! Now!” which has a somewhat slower blasting tempo than what I’m used to, so this one proved to be a little tougher than I thought. Sure, I rehearsed everything pretty well yesterday and thought I had it all sorted out, but as usual, I tend to get a tad nervous as soon as I know “the tape is rolling” (in this case, Mats’ Mac). So this fucker took a lot more work than the first track. But I knew it would, since it’s the hardest one for me on this demo. For a second, I nearly freaked out completely but I managed to keep calm, had some more coffee and a banana and then continued blasting. So finally “Heretics! Now!” turned out as great as I hoped for!
By now the time was about 13:30 and I had “Traumatic Inhuman Severance” left. I thought this one would be a lot trickier since it’s fast and I played all the songs to a click track (first time for TD). Man, was I wrong?! The tempo in this one is where I like it best, around 120 bpm, and I just did one full take and a couple more with crappy beginnings before we had the final one. I’m really happy with this one ’cause it turned out really distinct, powerful and overall awesome! So, that was it!
I’m really happy with my effort this time around!
We took a few pictures and a couple of video clips, but I won’t post them until tomorrow night. Stay tuned.”

And the drums are done!
J has the following to say:
“At exactly 10.53 I got a message from Golden Spider that he was SETTING up the studio. At exactly 14.13 he was finished recording all three songs. How fucking amazing is that?”
This means the drums are done. Golden Spider (aka Tobben – drummer) is done with his blasts and grooves. Fantastic. We won’t be able to put down guitars until next week since we won’t be handed the files until then becoz the studio-guy is busy with some other useless shit. We thank him once again though for helping out with the recording of the drums. Maybe we will show some pictures and/or videos from the recording in a little bit. On another note; J is done with all the lyrics/vocal lines and so forth and is just waiting for K to lay down the guitars so he can put down his stuff. Within a week or so we should be done with the guitars (just hand us the files!), so it’s safe to say we are getting somewhere now.

Today the recording starts!
Yes, Tobben will today start (and most likely finish) the recording of his drums for our next demo, the first of three in the second trilogy. 3 songs will be put down and here are the song titles and the actual demo title:

Eld och plågor
Traumatic inhuman severance
We don’t know in what order the tunes will be on the finalized product just yet, but that’s not of much importance. Also the demo will be called “Evighetens dÃ¥rar”. Tobben will once again record his drums with Mats of Senseless Recordings. K will put down the guitars using his beloved Ibanez Xiphoses in his home studio The Dungeon and J will once again work with Jonas Ã…hlén in A.R.T. Studios for bass and vocals. Dan Swanö will, as always, take care of the mixing and everything as soon as he’s been handed the files.
We are completely jacked up to get this demo done as it’s been a while now since we released our latest recording, the tremendous Christmas single “Suffer the shitmass”. Stay tuned for studio updates as we go along and prepare for another slab of the world’s best death metal.
