Demo 3 ready to be mixed!
Fuck yes, all the vocals are done now and J’s done a killer job. A few first takes and a few overdubs, that’s all that was needed. It’s hard to find time to do vocals when the house is full of kids but all J needed was 2 evenings and there we go; FUCKEN DONE! Now those files will be sent over to The Lord and after that – say hello to Mr. Dan Swanö. That guy is one busy fucker though so we just wanna say that we really appreciate that he’s squeezing us in in between the jobs that actually pay him, just to make sure Torture Division gets a ace production.
So, bastards… The last part of trilogy one is coming now… And don’t forget that the Christmas single is about to crash down on you as well in a bit. This will be a fantastically nice end to your year. You can thank us later.

Turning down record labels…
We just have to show you this that we got over MySpace. Some assclowns approached us, obviously not knowing shit about Torture Division, offering us to be on a compilation CD. Even having the balls to let us PAY to be included. This is mighty interesting since we have been turning down record labels since day one. You know this is a part of our agenda. That’s what we said we would do since we started this band. It’s all on our terms. We record music to GIVE IT AWAY to you guys, expecting you to support our cause by maybe purchasing merchandise whenever we have such available. These guys obviously think they are the second coming of Christ, just read on… Oh, and by the way, before you losers approach any more bands, make sure you learn how to spell THRASH metal. Cunts.
Hey Torture Division,
We wanted to give you a shout and tell you about the new record label 272 Records founded by the creators of Club Fiend (Hollywood, California). We are going to be releasing our 13th special edition compilation record from our Kill City Series called “Kill City Vol. 13 – Cradle To The Grave.” This volume is dedicated only to the worlds heaviest Death Metal, Black Metal and Trash!! We thought you would be a great fit on the record and addition to the series!
With the success of Club Fiend and working with over 400 great bands including renown artists such as The Start, Beautiful Creatures and Sick Puppies (just to name a few), our attention to detail and hospitality to our acts is unparallel to any other Indie label.
We will be releasing the record to 25 college radio stations here in California (Los Angeles/San Francisco/San Diego and their surrounding areas). We will send all of the station information to you upon the album release so you and your fans can call and request to hear your song.
In just one year 272 Records have collectively obtained over 20,000 radio spins for our artists on ..Live365. With our hard work and resources, combined with the dedication and persistence of the artists, many of our bands have also received and are currently receiving spins on College Radio here in California.
The record will also be distributed for sale to Amoeba Music (Hollywood’s largest and most popular record store) and ..Amazon. com… We have also inked a deal with 3 of the hottest Rock Shops on Hollywood Blvd., as well as various stores and tattoo shops on Sunset Blvd. and Melrose Ave. They will be giving away free copies of Kill City Vol. 13 to their customers as well.
We really enjoy your music and of course would invite you to pick whichever song you think represents you, Torture Division and your project the best and see if you would be interested in being on the record. To help cover the costs of artwork, shipping, mastering and packaging the cost to be on the record is only $129.99 (U.S. Dollars).
We would also need for you to sign some paperwork saying it’s ok to use the song. This is a NON-Exclusive offer and we would absolutely NOT own any copyrights or licensing at all.
From June 2007 through October of 2008, we have released Volumes 1 thru 12 of Kill City. Some of the great bands included on our Kill City Series thus far are:
Spasticator, Attempted Arson, Lump, Head Inc., 40bends, A470, CHUNK, Lowmen, Destination X, Vault Attact, The Dragline Cartel, Last Aid, Monster Within, World War Four, DEMO, Amplified, 100 Knives Inside, Eleventh Apparition, Dia Dolor, Cyber Cross, EverFlash, EMATHEA, Kaos Krew, Hollywood Assassyn and many more.
You are currently visiting our profile dedicated specially only to our Kill City Series. Please also feel free to check us out on our 272 Records MySpace page (in top friends here on the Kill City page), ..272records. com.. and Pure Volume as well. (Search 272 Records for other sites.)
Kill City Vol. 13 will be another killer record and we are looking at a late December release date. Please let me know if it sounds like something you’d like to be a part of and we’ll get the ball rolling!
Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for your time!!

We naturally replied:
You gotta be fucken shitting us. Yeah, as we are turning down record labels we DEFINITELY feel like paying a 130 dollars to be on a fucken compilation. Give us a fucken break.
Just to get this back from the biggest label in the world, 272 Records (that’s right, WHO?):
And then they blocked us and deleted us from their friends list, haha… Damn, now we don’t really know what to do. How the hell are we, as a band, supposed to go on now when we have this sledgehammer of a label declaring we don’t deserve to go anywhere. Damn… They could probably have worked wonders for us, had we only paid to be on their compilation album. We mean, it shouldn’t be more than fair to actually start paying to be on albums we don’t even wanna be on since we give away our music anyways.
We suggest you go to these assholes’ MySpace page and tell them to go fuck themselves, and if they really wanna get some bands for their shitty compilation – do some research before approaching the bands in question.
You fucken idiots.
No, we are not interested in any compilations and having to pay to be on it. No, we are not interested in doing a full length album. No, we are not interested in releasing our demos on your label. The music is there for you to grab – FOR FREE!
